I appreciate your words of wisdom for our society that values accumulation over paring down to what we need. I think the people who recommend decluttering say to keep only what brings you joy. I like your recommendation to keep only what you need to praise God. I do remember looking at boxes of souvenirs in my garage that had accumulated and finding a very big one that happened to be empty. My response to that was "Hallelujah!"
